Amir Schmuel Blumenfeld (born January 18, 1983) is an Israeli-American writer, comedian, actor, and television host.[5]
Blumenfeld was born in Afula, Israel. He is literate in Hebrew and displayed his bilingual talents on episodes of Jake and Amir. He is a graduate of Milken Community High School and the University of California, Berkeley.[6][7] Blumenfeld lives in New York City, where he writes comedic articles and sketches for the CollegeHumor website; he co-stars in the award-winning web series Jake and Amir and also makes appearances on Hardly Working, another CollegeHumor web series. On The CollegeHumor Show, which aired on MTV, he played a fictionalized version of himself – his character on the show was similar to his character on Jake and Amir.[8] He co-hosts the MTV show Pranked with fellow CollegeHumor employee Streeter Seidell.[9] In his spare time, Blumenfeld often writes freelance for ESPN The Magazine.[6]
Blumenfeld made his film debut in the 2011 comedy film A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas.
